FORMAT AND STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM
Like
the Barcelona congress, this program will be breaking away from the
traditional mold of loosely related papers. Moderators and speakers
chosen for their expertise in selected areas will summarize
presentations, clearly delineate opposing views and attempt to reach a
consensus. They will assist participants in evaluating the information
presented.
Tuesday afternoon through to Friday will be plenary
sessions. Thursday afternoon will consist of three parallel sessions
and Friday will complete the program with a parallel and plenary
session.
The objectives of the congress will be achieved in a four
day program, starting Tuesday, November 9. Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday will consist of formal ex cathedra, tightly coordinated
lectures. These lectures are intended to present and debate what is
reasonably known in the field. A poster exhibition will illustrate
worldwide scientific progress in the field.
